Launched in 2014 and already an unmissable event on the South African golf calendar, the Sun International Ladies Challenge is sanctioned by the WPGA and forms part of the Sunshine Ladies Tour Chase to the Investec Cup for Ladies.
Showcasing the top female golfers from around the world, the Sun International Ladies Challenge offers a whopping winning purse of R200 000.
The course
Designed by the legendary Gary Player, the Lost City Golf Course was opened in 1993. Rated one of the most unusual and interesting golf courses in the world, the Lost City Golf Course is 72-par, desert-style, golfing excellence. With greens the shape of the African continent, the 13th hole is also home to live two-metre crocodiles.
Did you know? The Lost City Golf Course covers more than 100 hectares and incorporates 28 000 square metres of water features.
