South 32 2024 Job Vacancy Operator Production Draglines

POSITION SYNOPSIS:

The purpose of this role is to operate draglines safely and productively.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will have a Grade 12 with Mathematics / N3 Technical Certificate with a minimum of 5 years dragline practical operating experience;
• Valid Dragline and Drivers’ license is essential;
• Previous working experience on Dozer and ground man’s duties is essential;
• Suitable candidate must successfully complete the required assessment in order to proceed to the next stage of the recruitment process.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Execute digging profiles as per plan to maximize equipment utilization in available hours;
• Check for safety around the dragline;
• Coordinates the activities of the groudsman grader operator and dozer operator;
• Involved in the planning of digging the coal;
• Ensure that the set targets are met;
• Report the faults to the engineers through the control room.
