Description
In order to increase our effectiveness in helping people improve their lives through learning, we are looking for a Payroll Administrator to administer, complete and deliver a payroll and related service to the business, which includes recordkeeping, reviewing, reporting and following up on all payroll related issues. To ensure that people are paid on time, accurately and that all records are kept up to date (electronic and manual) and support the Head of Payroll in providing friendly and effective customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate Payroll data capturing and filing on VIP people payroll system & SARS e-filing
- Accurate and timeous uploading of pay files to Standard Bank
- Extraction of data and accurate running of VIP people payroll reports as and when required
- Exporting salary journals from VIP people payroll system
- Accurate monthly salary reconciliations
- Accurate employees take-on of new staff, loading all Qualifications & training
- Provide assistance to Head of Payroll & Payroll team members
- Accurate and timeous monthly statutory reporting
- Biannual SARS reconciliations, IRP5 submissions and any IRP5 related queries
- Administrative assistance in any payroll related issue as and when required
- Assist with creating dummy payslips for offers of employment and employment contracts as and when required, working with the HR Business Partners and Recruitment team
Core competencies (FUNCTIONAL)
- In-depth knowledge of VIP People payroll and Premier payroll software system
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Financial acumen/bookkeeping skills
- Ability to develop advanced Excel skills
- Highly numerate and accurate and able to work with high volumes
- Ability to prioritise workload and communicate with the team as to what is important and needs attention
- Demonstrates excellent customer service mindsetAble to identify and correct errors in own and others work
- Able to pick up trends and identify potential issues at an operational level
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, enjoys routine tasks and working to deadlines
Experience
- A minimum of 10 years experience in Payroll and HR Administration
