Core Description • Responsible for supporting Gyro lines of business (Masts and Towers, Properties and Solutions) with Analytics support on key strategic and operational initiatives. In addition develop business models and/or business cases.
• Support the line of Business lead with the establishing business reporting capability and setting up templates to ensure key operational metrics are tracked and managed.
• Support the Chief Commercial Officer in collating and managing of the overall Commercial Strategy and tracking of key initiatives against the same.

Job Responsibilities 1. Strategy Development and Key Strategic Initiatives tracking:
• Support the development of the Gyro strategy with the Head of Gyro and Gyro divisional heads.
• Ensure CRES strategy is integrated into the Telkom’s short and long range growth and financial plans including revenues, expenses, capital requirements and resource planning.
2. Operational and Financial Reporting:
• Establish Operational and Financial Reporting capability in each line of business with the divisional head’s input.
• Design and implement reporting templates which will align with the overall objective and strategy of each division as well as the overall Gyro performance metrics
• Structure custom analyses that drive insight into the business units operating cost for Gyro.
• Support senior management and cross-functional business partners with timely, accurate, actionable financial analysis
• Produce periodic Gyro Commercial management reports and presentations
3. Market Intelligence Analytics:
• Support Gyro Group with provision of periodic market intelligence reports relevant for all lines of business leveraging Telkom Group market intelligence assets
• Support all lines of business with market research to support on strategic and tactical initiatives as and when required. This analysis could include:
o Customer profiling
o Pricing benchmarking etc
4. Business Case Development Support:
• Support Gyro Group’s lines of business with the development of business cases for new approval in relevant funding councils.
• Support in preparation of investment books or proposals for Gyro Group
5. Division specific analytics: Masts and Towers:
• Support Masts and Towers line of business with analytics relating to the mast and towers portfolio leveraging geo-spatial analytics tools (eg ArcGIS) for analyses including but not limited to:
o New site build viability assessment
o Co-user network rollout strategy
Required Certification None
Qualifications • 3 year formal Degree/ Diploma preferably in the Technical (Engineering or IT) or Commercial fields (NQF level 7).
• A post graduate property management degree or an MBA/MBL will be an added advantage.
Experience • 5 years relevant experience in an Analytics related commercial environment in a comparable large company.
• Experience in Network planning for mobile operators will be advantageous however not a requirement
Special Requirements • Able to communicate effectively with both junior and senior level staff
• Valid driver’s license
