South African Defence Policy, Strategy & Planning Division
The Defence Policy and Planning Division is a sub-programme of the Administration programme which is one of the nine DOD programmes through which the DOD executes its primary constitutional obligation.
The Defence Policy, Strategy and Planning Division strives to achieve a high standard of professionalism by adhering to scientific principles in formulating sound policy and policy advice that is in alignment with national objectives. In so doing it consults widely with stakeholders and strives to provide responsive, forward-thinking and insightful policy advice and support to the Secretary for Defence and the Department of Defence as a whole.
