The Department of Library Services at the University of Pretoria cordially invites you to attend a two day hands-on bibliometrics training workshop focusing on the statistical analysis of written publications.

Presenter/s: Mrs Sunette Steynberg, Department of Library Services, University of Pretoria

More about the presenter: Sunette Steynberg graduated from Stellenbosch University in 1979. She has worked in the Merensky Library at the University of Pretoria since 1988. Currently she is the dedicated information specialist for the University Executive and the Department of Research and Innovation. For the past ten years she has been involved in bibliometric analysis and training at the University of Pretoria. During the early days of the H-index she worked as a freelance trainer for Elsevier, training librarians and researchers all over SA on the use of Science Direct, Scopus and their bibliometric tools and applications.

More about this workshop: This is a hands-on workshop and all workshop content will be done within our computer training room. After attending this workshop you will have a better understanding of the University world rankings, provide the necessary supportive data for NRF and other funding applications and create benchmarking and collaborative analysis reports for your departments and university.
