MUT Student Wins 2024 Orlando Pirates Diva Competition
Sylvia Sanele Mthethwa, a third year Public Administration student, is now Bucs Super Diva/Miss Orlando Pirates. “I saw the competition on Facebook and decided to enter,” said Sylvia, who is an intern at HR&D. Sylvia beat 25 contestants from the whole Republic. She was the only one from KwaZulu-Natal. Sylvia says she is overwhelmed by the victory, but is geared up for the challenges it has brought her. “I will visit charity homes and talk to women and children about human trafficking, which was a theme for the competition,” said Sylvia who hails from Vryheid.
