CUT And BMF hold hands to build partnerships , 2024
A memorandum of understanding was signed by the CUT and the Black Management Forum (BMF). The partnership between CUT and Black Management Forum is not a new endeavour but has now been formalised, and both institutions are looking forward to a fruitful working partnership.
The signing of the MOU between Black Management Forum and CUT is an important course of action for the university, as it reaffirms its commitment to Vision 2024. Its vision speaks about building strategic partnerships with important institutions in the region so that its advancement is realised.
“The Black Management Forum (BMF) is currently the only black management organisation in the country that promotes the development and empowerment of managerial leadership amongst black people within organisations. We view the organisation as a key partner to our vision”, said Prof Henk de Jager, Vice-Chancellor and Principal.
“This partnership has brought us together to focus on exploiting our organisational strengths for the development and advancement of our region”, said Mr David Uwah, Regional Chairperson of BMF.
Mr David Uwah said that BMF has always had a good relationship with CUT and that he and his team are looking at solidifying the relationship with the MoU. “We are going to do whatever it takes to assist CUT in achieving what it needs to achieve to drive its growth and leadership process in the region,” he said.
A few of the specific initiatives that will be pursued through this agreement includeidentifying areas of development that require specific proposals or solutions, which would propel the partnership forward regarding the advancement of the region.
