MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
 Diploma/ Degree in General Nursing, Midwifery and Psychiatry
 Proof of current registration with SANC
 A Minimum of 8 years’ experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with South African Nursing council in General Nursing
 At least 3 years of the period referred above must be a proof of previous experience appropriate / recognizable experience at Management level
 Proof of current and previous working experience / certificate of service endorsed by Human Resource to be attached
RECOMMENDATION
 Degree/Diploma in Nursing Management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, TRAINING AND COMPETANCES REQUIRED
 Knowledge of nursing care process and procedures , nursing and other relevant legal framework.
 Financial and budgetary knowledge pertaining to the relevant resource s under Management.
 Insight into procedures and policies pertaining to nursing care.
 Leadership, Organizational, Decision making and problem solving abilities within the limit of public sector and institutional framework.
 Interpersonal skills including public relations, negotiating conflict handling and counseling skills.
 Computer skills in basic programmes
 Knowledge of SANC rules and regulations
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
 Delegate, supervise and coordinate the provision of effective and efficient patient care through adequate nursing care.
 Participate in the analysis, formulation and implementation of nursing guidelines, practices, standards and procedures.
 Manage Human Resources
 Monitor and ensure proper utilization of financial and physical resources.
 Initiate and participate in health promotion to ensure consisted communication of relevant, accurate and comprehensive information on health care.
 Develop/establish and maintain constructive working relationship with nursing and other stakeholders(i.e. inter-proffesional, inter- sectoral and multi-disciplinary teamwork.
 Overall supervision of the whole institution during the night.
 Provision of effective support to nursing services.
