Lecturer: AFRIKAANS: EAST LONDON CAMPUS: REF NO. 1146
SALARY: R 465 504 – R 578 463 (All-inclusive package)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Possession of a Master’s degree in Afrikaans; a PhD in Afrikaans will be an added advantage;
- Basic theoretical knowledge of the field.
- 3 years university teaching experience with proven research output.
- Potential to undertake academic administrative responsibilities at departmental level.
- Ability and willingness to participate in community engagement projects
- Sound interpersonal skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Teaching in the identified area of specialization;
- Refining curriculum at undergraduate and postgraduate level;
- Participation in community engagement;
- Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects;
- Producing academic publications, especially accredited ones.
