To ensure that the spool shaft is removed from the finish reel and the shaft is fitted with a core and sent back to machine for production in order to be loaded on the magazine or Primary Arm
Ensure that the Core dimensions are correct, and that the core is of good quality free off any damage or defects
To ensure there are enough ancillaries to complete shift as well as enough for relief crew to have continuous production
Ensures that the reel label is correct for the grade and that all relevant details are correct, i.e. grade and gram mage; diameter; weight; deckle
To ensure that the reel meets quality standards
To ensure the reel is correctly wrapped for transportation
Operates hyster in order to ensure efficient and safe movement and stacking of wadding
Performs any quality checks required by work instructions or procedures to ensure all product conforms to standard specifications.
To ensure all necessary wadding movement records are completed
To ensure the hyster checklist is completed at start of every shift, while ensuring that the hyster is well maintained in an efficient, safe and clean operating condition
To ensure allocated area for housekeeping is kept clean and clear of any obstruction or wadding
Responsible for housekeeping on the machine and warehouse
Assists the machine operator when required e.g. during breakdowns and machine stoppages
