MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Abide by TSG policies and procedures and be the site lead in ensuring that all staff on site are informed and operate within the governance protocol
  • Provide all on site with information relating to all HR policies and SOP
  • Manage the end to end process of Recruitment & Selection and screening processes
  • Maintain Job Descriptions, advertise vacancies internally /externally, shortlist, provide feedback, benchmark, provide offers and prepare contracts, send required docs to payroll for processing Ensure that suitably qualified & experienced candidates are recommended to the business
  • Process criminal checks on the LexisNexis biometric system
  • Issue letters and notifications timeously on all matters relating to the employees on the site
  • Prepare payroll docs and submit before the payroll cut-of dates thereby ensuring correct payment to the employees
  • Assist employees with the application, amendment and termination of benefits such
  • Maintain accurate record keeping of information relevant to employees and ensure it is filed accordingly in the personnel files as medical aid, pension/provident funds
  • Provide timeous and regular updates on all HR activity
  • Produce reports which are accurate and thorough
  • Assist employees with social illnesses including referrals to appropriate bodies/agencies
  • Work hand in hand with the TSG Health Clinics and strategies to enhance employee well-being
  • Assist in the implementation and record keeping of performance management process.
  • Assist the Training Officer with coordinating training activities for the plant as and when required.
  • Support and assist Training and Development Manager in recruiting and selection of apprentices, learners and graduates and keeping appropriate record
  • Ensure that regular meetings are held with the EE committee
  • Ensure that the EE pack on site are ready for Department of Labour Audits
  • Hold regular Fun Brigade meetings and keep the staff quarterly functions on track
  • Apply the disciplines of HR to any and all employee related matter that may arise
  • Escalate all areas of uncertainty to the HRM
  • Represent the company and HR team in all aspects of the role of HR/Payroll Administrator
  • Provide all round HR support to all on-site employees
  • Partner with Other Support Services such as Training, Payroll, Accounts, Procurement, IT and On-site Operations Manage

REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric/ NQF4 equivalent
  • Post Matric HR Qualification (Min NQF 6) from a recognized tertiary institution
  • Min of 3 years’ experience in a HR capacity or similar role
  • Knowledge of SA Labour Legislation
  • Working in a unionized environment (advantageous)
  • Exposure to HR Systems (advantageous)
  • Previous exposure to working on a plant (advantageous)
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Well- spoken and eloquent
  • Professional in manner
