Apprenticeship Programme at Twinsaver Group 2024
The Twinsaver Group invites applications for its Engineering Apprenticeship Programme based in Pretoria and Klipriver. This challenging career opportunity is a structured four year training programme for applicants with a mechanical and electrical aptitude.
The main focus of the programme is on practical skills and theory to prepare candidates for an artisan qualification. The apprenticeship programme is governed by an Apprenticeship Contract approved by the relevant SETA.
The Twinsaver Group is a national manufacturer, marketer and distributor of branded tissue products.
Twinsaver currently offers the following apprenticeships:
- Electrical and Instrumentation
- Mechanical
Responsibilities
- Willingness to undergo intensive on-the-job training and other related training
- Providing support to the production process with adequate levels of availability and reliability
- Attaining practical and theoretical experience
- Completion of all modules based on the modular system of training
- In light of the above the apprenticeship must be fulfilled within a minimum of 3 year period
- Maintaining production efficiencies (Output and Quality)
- Adherence to plant rules and regulations
Requirements
- N3 in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical and Instrumentation
- Applicants must have a Mechanical/Electrical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Applicants must be motivated, keen to learn and willing to put in the effort to succeed
Knowledge and Competencies
- A good technical aptitude
- Computer literate(MS Office)
- A self-motivated team player
- Good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and able to use own initiative
- Be prepared to work overtime/call-out when required
- Previous exposure to a high speed machine environment will be advantages
- Valid driver’s license will be an advantage
