About WBHO
In 1970, Wilson-Holmes found the company and after going through mergers, the company changed the name into WBHO (Wilson Bayly Holmes) (Pty) Ltd in 1983. After becoming WBHO Construction in 1994, the company take the role as one of the largest construction group in Southern Africa and made list on JSE. The wide range of projects made by WBHO shows the passion and commitment of the company in giving professional and expertise contruction services of pipelines, civil engineering, building and constructions, roads and earthworks in Southern Africa, Middle East and variety of Indian Ocean islands. The WBHO offices are spread in Durban, Cape Town, Sandton, East London and Port Elizabeth and also in Melbourne, Australia.
Available Fields of Study
WBHO bursaries are open for students who is interested or is studying toward a Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Science, National Diploma or Bachelor of Technology in one of these following studies: Construction Management, Building Science, Civil Engineering and Quantity Surveying. WHBO has made partnership with several institutes that students can select from.
Qualifications For Bursaries
- Applicants must be South African citizens
- Applicants must have obtained an average 60% overall or above
- Applicants must be willing to study full-time in the mentioned fields of study above
- Applicants must pass all subjects
- Successful bursars will be required to work at WBHO during vacation periods and to work-back at WBHO after completing the studies based on how long they are on WHBO bursaries
The selection process of WBHO bursaries dependo on the organization’s current and future needs. The amount awarded from WHBO bursaries is depend on the fields of study and current year. Students Training will be held on June/July and bursars are required to take one week. All failed/repeated subjects are applicants responsibility.
