The University of Venda, situated in Thohoyandou in the scenic Vhembe district of the Limpopo Province of South Africa was established in 1982. The university has ever experienced tremendous growth and change. From its early years, staff members were drawn from various backgrounds in South Africa but by 1994 staff members were increasingly recruited from other African countries and over seas.

University of Venda Application : To apply to University of Venda , you need the documents below :
1) A certified copy of the green bar coded ID
2) Proof of payment of any relevant application fees
3) Certified copy of grade 11 results and any latest grade 12 results
Applicants must check individual further requirements for each course and each tertiary institution. Please also be aware of NBTs and check with your university if you need NBT results to apply.
FYI: South Africans learners wishing to apply online will need a working email address and an ID number. Foreign learners wishing to apply will need to have their passport number.

- R160 for hard copy applications (non-degree purposes only)
Applicants will need to pay R105 for online applications. Applicants applying via Unisa for a TVET college can use a hard copy application – the application fee for this is R160

undergraduate studies:
• Your ID or passport.
• Your Grade 11 final results with the school’s stamp.
• Your academic record only if you are a current student at another institution of
higher learning.
• Academic record and certificate of good conduct (if you have already
studied at a tertiary institution).
• Copy of study /residence permit / medical insurance /SAQA Evaluation

Application for admission to a University residence must be made on the prescribed form to reach the University in September of the year which precedes the year in which he/she intends to register.

You have to make prepayments five (5) days prior to registration in January. Use your student number as the reference number.
Applications fees: A non-refundable application fee of R100 must be paid when applying to UNIVEN.
Paying an application fee does not mean that your application was successful.
