Job Summary Statement Aveng Grinaker-LTA is a multi-disciplinary construction group, anchored in South Africa and focused on selected infrastructure, energy and mining opportunities in Africa.
The incumbent will be responsible for the strategic turnaround of the business to suit its current objectives with regards to the consolidation of the existing business portfolio and expansion of the Business Unit core competencies into new markets both within South Africa as well as Africa.
Minimum Requirements ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification and/or B. Degree Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
EXPERIENCE:
• 15 – 20 years’ experience with at least 15 years at senior management level
• Understanding all the facets of the business from the front end to execution
Duties & Responsibilities • Implementation of the strategic plan determined as a result of the ongoing market analysis to enable effective participation in the current and expanded portfolio of the business
• Active participation in the overall business to constantly develop and evolve the strategic plan in a structured and planned manner
• Assessment and evaluation of the SMEIP core competencies of the business and market sectors where these could be utilised
• Development of the contracting metrics associated with SMEIP construction sector
• Manage the risk associated with the execution of the SMEIP, procurement and geographical distribution of projects
• Engage with the key role players in the SMEIP construction environment including owners, engineers and costing consultants
