About
The AcerlorMittal bursary is awarded to students who are studying full-time at a university with a AcerlorMittal- approved discipline of study. After completing their studies, beneficiaries will be able to undergo the company’s 24 month candidate engineer programme. This will give graduates valuable work experience and the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge. All successful applicants will be assigned a mentor who be available to provide support.

In the subject line, indicate “Bursary Application” and include your CV as well as your academic transcript. Successful applicants will be asked to attend an interview during the April holidays.
Service contract
Once a student has completed their studies, they are appointed into the 24 month candidate engineer programme. This is a training programme which will lead to the graduates gaining work experience and being able to register as professional engineers at the end of the programme.
Qualifying criteria
Applicants who are in grade 12 need to have a an average of 70% for both pure maths and physical science in grade 11. Also, an overall average of 60% in matric is required. For applicants who are current university students, they will need to be studying one of the mentioned fields of engineering.

Allowance details
