AFDA Alumni Win At LA SHORTS International Film Festival 2024

The short film, It’s Complicated, directed by AFDA Johannesburg alumnus Grant De Sousa, and co-produced by fellow alumnus Tyrone Rubin walked off with the Best Comedy Award at the Los Angeles Shorts International Film Festival 2024.
“I’m so super proud of this accolade. Yet again just want to thank everyone who made this film possible all cast & crew & specifically Bird Film and Picturescope. Also a big shout out to a soldier behind the scenes Pia Caverni, without her this would not have come together. You where an absolute star, thank you.” says Grant De Sousa.
It’s Complicated also recently won the Best Screenplay (Comedy) at the Brownfish Short Film Festival in New York City.
