Airport Applications Developer. CORP Group IT

Key Performance Outputs
The successful person will be reporting to the Technical Operations Manager: Airport Operational Applications and will be responsible to:
•       Ensure application system uptime meet/exceed SLA;
•       Reduce impact of outages and incidents caused by poor configuration management and lack of maintenance;
•       Ensure all applications systems, sources code and data are backed up;
•       Ensure that all applications systems have Business Impact Assessment done, so that correct DR plans are put in place;
•       Ensure that all application systems support redundancy and high availability;
•       Ensure that all systems have the following environments (Dev, Test and Production);
•       Prepare tender board submissions;
•       Manage supplier metrics and SLA’s;
•       Create and maintain all applications system documentation (including process flow diagrams, requirements, Technical and Functional specifications and operations handbooks);
•       Perform   proactive problem identification and root cause analysis;
•       Adhere to and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organizational standards, guidelines, policies and procedures and;
•       Take lead in high priority incident management.

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:

•      A Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences / Information Technolog
       5-7 years Application Development experience
       3 – 5 years supervisory experience within an Information Technology environment
•       Knowledge of writing code using multiple development languages (e.g. Java, .Net, C, C++, HTML, XML, SQL, VBA);
•       Knowledge of ASP. NET, C#, MS SQL database and development tools;
•       Knowledge of developing cross platform application;
•       Knowledge of integration/interfacing of systems using common middleware tool and;
•       Report writing.

The ideal candidate should potray exceptional skills in writing and reporting. Strong problem solving skills as well as outstanding interpersonal skills. It is essential that the incumbent is able to consistently deliver accurate work of a high quality by paying attention to detail and must be a team player.
