Electronics Engineer
An exciting opportunity exist for a suitably qualified and skilled individual to join the Airport Systems Department in the Information Technology Division Respectively at Corporate Office and Cape Town International Airport.
Key Performance Outputs
The successful person will report to the Senior Manager Technical Operations Electronics Services and will be responsible for the following:

Ensure that all systems and systems components are proactively monitored so that issues are identified and resolved before they impact systems users;

Ensure all systems are backed up and they have redundancy and Disaster Recovery Plans;

Perform change management related activities in line with Change Management Process;

Develop replacement and procurement plan, prepare tender board submission, manage supplier metrics and Service Level Agreements, ensure that all contracts are in-place and that value is derived for all third-party service providers and manage all contracts throughout their life cycle;

Compile detailed request for proposal, create and maintain system documentation;

Perform monthly supplier reconciliation and create monthly supplier requisitions;

Ensure successful integration of information management security office, establish and improve IT services;

Adhere and enforce compliance to all policies and procedures

Develop and submit reports on systems performance availability;

Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organizational standards, guidelines, policies and procedures;

Ensure resolution of escalated incidents
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:
-
Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering/ Information Technology/Computer Science/ Informatics;

6 years operational experience in information technology and IT coordination;

MS Office and Oracle (ERP) experience;
-
1-2 years Information Technology supervisory experience;

Knowledge of Information Technology and relevant legislation and applicable prescripts
Competencies
This position calls for a person that consistently achieves results and meets goals and targets. The incumbent must be customer service orientated and have good verbal communication skills, coupled with high levels of problem solving skills. Furthermore, the successful candidate must be diplomatic and be able to recognize the value of team work and be able to pull people for a common purpose while managing time very well.
