Description

An exciting career opportunity exists for a dedicated individual to join the Airport Management Division at Cape Town International Airport.
Key Performance Outputs
 
The successful candidate reporting to the Security Compliance Manager will be responsible for the following:
 
  • Inspect and audit security performance against Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ensure security thoroughness and responsiveness.
  • Enforce compliance to all security standards and legislation by all stakeholders.
  • Conduct compliance and risk inspection on all areas.
  • Monitor effectiveness of processes and systems.
  • Test effectiveness of security operations, systems and processes (covert and overt).
  • Ensure compliance and operate according to ICAO, NKP and SACAA and other relevant legislation and all ACSA policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain sound internal and external stakeholder customer relations whilst balancing enforcement and professionalism.
  • Investigate and report all security incidents, accidents, risks and trends and all other non-conformance and recommend implementation of corrective measures.

Short-listed candidates will undergo relevant background checks, vetting and medical examinations as per the company’s security regulations.

Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:
  • The candidate must be in possession of Matric (Grade 12) and a SACAA Supervisory Certificate.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years Operational Experience is essential.
  • ICAO National Inspector Accreditation.
  • NKP Certification and NKP Authorized Guard.
  • SACAA Dangerous Goods, Safe Passage and Basic Aviation Security and Screener Certification.
  • PSIRA Grade B
  • Have basic knowledge of Surveillance systems and investigation methods and detailed knowledge of Airside, Landside and Terminal operations.

The suitable candidate should demonstrate strong customer focus and be able to communicate clearly and pay attention to detail. This position requires someone who is well organised and methodical with a high level of productivity, setting definite milestones for achieving goals. The successful incumbent needs to be able to solve complex problems with ease while acting in line with dominant company values.
