Key Performance Outputs:

The successful candidate, reporting to the Group Manager Regulatory and Quality Assurance will be responsible for the following:

• Translate organizational goals applicable to area of responsibility as derived from business plan into clear direction, implement effectively and ensure that appropriate remedial actions are taken;
• Effectively manage the function and its objectives in line with approved budget;
• Collate integrated scorecards and reports, develop document control systems and practices, and perform trend analysis for the function;
• Lead developments of strategies, framework, policies and procedures for managing Technical Aviation Standards;
• Lead the development of new and enhanced standards and guidelines;
• Manage implementation and continuous improvement of Technical Aviation Standards and solutions through leading research on best practices.
• Manage internal and external relations with external service providers to ensure organizational goals are achieved;
• Provide specialized technical / professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organizational objectives.

Technical Skills and Experience:

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:

• 4-year Bachelor€™s Degree in Aviation Management/Engineering;
• 6-8 years€™ operational experience in Airport Operations and Aviation;
• 5 years€™ s management experience in people and stakeholder management;
• Advanced knowledge in Airport Operations, ICAO standards and SA CAA regulations and technical standards;
• Knowledge and experience of Quality Management;
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Packages and CAD.

It is essential that the candidate builds relationships and deliver service to customers with a focus on their needs, whilst remaining detailed-oriented and inspires a future. The ability to manage conflict, negotiations and solve challenging problems will be required. It is vital that the incumbent sets definite milestones and actions for achieving goals, monitors work, as well as consistently achieving results and meeting goals and targets.
