Group Manager IT Governance and Resilience
An exciting opportunity exist for a suitably qualified and skilled individual to join the Governance and Resilience Department in IT Division at Corporate Office.
Key Performance Outputs
The successful candidate, reporting to the Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for the following:

Support the CIO to manage IT governance and resilience strategy through the establishment of effectively defined strategies and control mechanisms for both governance and resilience (information, risk, data, knowledge and DR);

Ensure IT resilience strategies are effectively implemented to protect al IT systems and business information, mitigating risk;

Define and maintain the overall governance framework for information risk, business continuity and disaster recovery as well as data and knowledge management;

Provide Management Information/Reports to the CIO and Business where necessary on the status of IT Governance and Resilience;

Create a culture of high performance, value-for-money, optimization and innovation in IT Governance and Resilience and manage performance of the team effectively;

Provide technical/professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organizational objectives;
-
Build, support and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships (government, authorities and agencies) to ensure achievement of organizational goals and implement remedial actions where required;

Monitor and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organizational standards, policies and procedures;

Develop and manage OPEX budget and provide input into IT overall budget including CAPEX.
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent thereof, will be required:

Bachelor’s Degree in information technology;

9 years management experience in Information Technology, Risk Management and BC/DR and IT Security and IT Management and Data Governance Management;

Working knowledge of the Aviation/Transport and/or Airports Industries as well as Technology Trends and an appreciation of the dynamics of the public sector;

Understanding of the ITIL knowledge management and COBIT or other governance frameworks;
-
Knowledge of large IT governance structures.
Competencies
The position calls for a meticulous individual with outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written), someone who exercises good judgement with regards to decision-making. The ability to maintain composure and solve challenging problems using a combination of intuition and analytical thinking is required. The successful incumbent must be able to and actively build and manage social networks both inside and outside the organisation. Lastly, this individual must a strategic thinker who possesses the ability to set definite milestones and actions to ensure the achievement goals.
