Manager Airfield Services
An exciting vacancy exists at Kimberley Airport for an experienced Manager Airfield Services professional within the Airport Management division.
Key Performance Outputs
The successful candidate, reporting to the Regional Airports Manager will be responsible for the following:
– Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of organisational standards,
policies and procedures within span of control and monitor implementation to ensure full
compliance.
– Anticipate and plan for circumstances that may influence the development and implementation
of the functional strategic plan.
– Conduct hazard identification and risk assessment as per regulatory requirements.
– Provide inputs into tenders and procurement process and enforcement as per legislation.
– Provide input into annual budget planning process and submit to line management for
approval.
– Provide specialised technical / professional support to internal and external stakeholders to
ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:
– A Grade 12 qualification
– A Bachelor’s Degree in Safety / Environmental / Risk Management / Public Health or
an equivalent
– 3-5 years operational experience within Safety / Environmental / Risk Management / Public
Health or equivalent
– 3 years supervisory experience
– Code B drivers licence

Solving challenging problems whilst remaining calm and being able to explain a point of view in multiple formats as well as communicate in a tactful non-confrontational manner is essential. The ability to achieve win-win outcomes and inspire others is equally important.
