Key Performance Outputs:
Input into maintenance planning, scheduling and execution of the assets.
- Ensure and execute safe planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Provide input into the development of the maintenance planning programme and execution thereof.
- Participate in failure investigation and root cause analysis.
- Maintain and/or manage material and spares.
- Consult and give support in commissioning and testing of assets.
- Ensure implementation of continuous improvement of the equipment/infrastructure.
- Conduct studies and make recommendations on upgrades/replacements of assets.
- Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP’s, operational standards, policies and practices.
- Adherence to municipal by-laws.
- Manage Service Level Agreement
- Conduct continuous Audit and quality control (activities and contractual) and implement remedial action where required.
- Determine, as part of cross-functional team, evaluation criteria and participate in evaluation and award of bids / tenders received.
- Prepare, specify, scope of work and technical requirements
- Provide Input into allocated budget.
- Identify cost-saving initiatives within area of control.
- Compile and submit relevant reports.
- Identify and report possible efficiency enhancements and initiatives to ensure resource savings.
- Provide relevant and specialised technical support in area of expertise to relevant stakeholders to ensure achievement of objectives
Technical Skills and Experience:
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:
Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Civil Engineering is essential.
A minimum of 3 years operational experience in Infrastructure Maintenance.
Microsoft office basic level.
Basic SCADA and PLC
