Apply for NSFAS Bursary Now For 2024/2025
PDATE: NSFAS have announced that they will be accepting applications again from the 9th of January 2024.
Are you a first time applicant or currently registered on the NSFAS system? Find out what you need to do to secure your funding for 2024.
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme invites students to apply for funding through the Student Centred Model.
This new system aims to alleviate payment delays and simplify the funding process.
The application window will close 30 November 2024 and students have been urged to submit their forms before the deadline.
First time applicants are instructed to apply online on the NSFAS website . Those who have received funding prior to 2024 but were not funded this year will also be expected to reapply.
However according to the NSFAS website “All students who have signed their Loan Agreement Forms (LAF) or Schedule of Particulars (SOP) for 2024 and are currently receiving NSFAS funding do not have to reapply.
All funded NSFAS students are requested to update their information online. Please log onto www.nsfas.org.zaand create the MyNSFAS account to verify your details.
Matriculants who have already submitted their NSFAS applications at universities or TVET colleges do not need to reapply either. The institution will send their applications directly to NSFAS.
