Aveng Grinaker-LTA invites applications for an Apprenticeship Programme based in the East Rand, Gauteng.
Aveng Grinaker-LTA is a multi-disciplinary construction group, anchored in South Africa and focused on selected infrastructure, energy and mining opportunities in Africa.
Duties & Responsibilities
Millwrights (3 Positions)
- Do Mechanical and Electrical fitment work on mobile equipment
- Ensure a plant availability level
- Operating an effective preventive maintenance programme
- Apply all safety legislation in the maintenance methodology
- Promote a safety culture that incorporates safety in all aspects of the working environment
- Be available to conduct electrical / Mechanical work on site in whole of SADC region
Fitters (5 Positions)
- Monitor and maintain all mechanical plant equipment
- Maintain high work standards and minimise waste
- Plan, organise and monitor maintenance work activities
- Be available to conduct work on-site inwhole SADC region
Electricians (2 Positions)
- Conduct electrical system installation and maintenance on mobile equipment
- Identify and implement areas for continuous improvement
- Ensure task performance in line with production requirements
- Maintain machines in compliance to manufacturer specifications
- Ensure compliance to safety and quality policies procedures and standards
- Be available to conduct electrical work on site in whole of SADC region
Requiremets
-
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science
- Millwright Trade Theory certificate
- Electrician trade theory certificate
- Fitter Trade Theory certificate
- No experience is require
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Good command of English Business language and strong communication skills
- An ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken or written words, instructions and sentences
- Working in a team environment
