Job description
Description:
Responsible for providing regional technical support to the dealer network and BMW Approved Repair Centres to ensure technical competence at dealership level focusing on equipment, skill and facility to be of BMW standard. To ensure that escalated customer complaint cases (open cases) are investigated and resolved in conjunction with the customer, dealer and BMW internal departments. Ensuring that the dealers maintain/sustain customer satisfaction levels at or above the BMW voice of the customer targets.
Ensure that all warranty and motor plan policies and procedures are followed by the dealer network at all times through targets and measurements and indexes.
Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for investigating and resolving customer open cases where technical evaluation is required according to BMW specifications.
  • Continuous improvement and monitoring of dealer turnaround times on open cases by addressing dealers shortcomings with agreed dealer actions to follow.
  • Review and analyse dealer after-sales customer satisfaction results and recommend action plans to address out of line areas (first-time fix, VOC and repeat repairs).
  • Responsible for checking and action out of line areas in the technical administration of repair orders at dealers as per processes outlined by BMW South Africa.
  • Accountable to identify, support and provide recommendations on dealer achieving productive capacity planning needs, which includes productive mix as well as the projected dealer MU requirements in line with BA and BH requirements/guidelines.
  • Accountable that all warranty and motor plan policies and procedures are followed by the dealer network at all times through targets and measurements and indexes, i.e. recall campaign completion rates.

Experience required:
Minimum four years’ experience in a similar function within the motor industry
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, engineering qualification, technical diploma N4
Other requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of BMW Group after-sales systems
  • Sound BMW Group product and dealership network knowledge (dealer retail experience)
  • Travel is required at least one week a month
