Position Overview:
A position for a Cashbook/Debtors Intern has become vacant. The main focus of the position is to support and assist the Financial Manager and Debtors/Cashbook Supervisor in the payment of cashbook items as well as in the allocation of payments and following up of monies due to the Company.

The position is a fixed term contract of 1 year and is an internship designed to provide experience in the field of Finance.
Specific Role Responsibilities
o Ensure accurate documentation is received for the payout of cashbook items.
o Ensure compliance with company policies as well as regulatory acts (VAT Act) before processing and payout of cashbook items.
o Monthly filing of cheques and substantiating documentation.
o Ensure accurate recording of the transaction in the accounting information system.
o Capturing and allocating of payments correctly in the debtors module.
o Resolution of account related queries.
o Processing of journal entries.

Qualifications and Experience
o The position is ideal for a school leaver and therefore requires Grade 12 including minimum 60% pass mark in the subjects Mathematics/ Accounting/ Economics and studying towards a relevant degree/diploma
o A graduate in possession of a relevant degree/ diploma would be an advantage.
