Job description
Applications are now being accepted for a digital advertising sales rep at the Music In Africa Foundation, a rapidly-growing pan-African organisation with an important portal for the African music sector. The key responsibility for the Digital Advertising Sales Rep will be to sale advertising space to businesses across Africa. We are looking for a results-oriented, mature individual with a proven track record of success in web advertising sales.
Responsibilities
- Conduct sales calls on businesses in order to grow revenue from new accounts and existing accounts
- Reach set sales targets
- Create strong links with media buyers
- Develop new customer prospects
- When necessary assist customers with basic ad layout and content
- Develop and make sales presentations
- Communicate effectively with customers and prospective clients
- Produce monthly progress reports to management and clients.
Requirements
- Proven track record in web advertising sales and excellent understanding of CPM and CPC models
- Must be highly organised and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is also a must.
- Educated to diploma level or higher
- Existing connections to media buyers will be an advantage
- Internet savvy, have good computer skills and excellent organisational skills to help keep track of all sales prospects.
- Excellent ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Customer focused, highly motivated and results oriented
- Excellent online marketing experience
- Understanding of the African music/entertainment sector.
