• Write copy across a variety of digital materials
• Simplify complex information into customer-friendly language
• Ensure copy is accurate, consistent and in line with brand guidelines
• Strategise and collaborate with other creative and marketing teams for social media campaigns

Requirements

Qualifications and accreditations

• Tertiary qualification: degree or diploma in copywriting, English or similar

Experience and skills

• At least two years’ copywriting experience in advertising or related field
• Excellent copywriting skills, including grammar and spelling
• Skilled at writing copy that converts to sales and engagement
• Computer literate (MS Office suite)
• Able to edit, rewrite and proof copy where necessary
• Able to ascertain the customers’ needs and requirements and use that knowledge in the copy
• Experience strategizing and running social media campaigns
• A basic understanding of retail-based blogs
• Able to change voice of copy depending on where it appears (e.g. emails vs Facebook)
• Understanding of where to hard sell and where to soft sell
