We are looking to employ a marketing intern. The intern would be responsible for coordinating the communication, stakeholder reporting and marketing functions of the organisation.
Are you dying to get your foot in the content marketing door. Here’s your chance! New Media Publishing is looking for a bright, meticulous and dynamic editorial intern to work on its Entertainment and Retail accounts.
You’ll help the editorial staff with administrative and editorial tasks, and you’ll also get a chance to contribute to the magazine and digital channels.
The position is based in Cape Town for a period of three months, with the possibility of an extension. We need someone with an eye for detail, an inquiring mind and a passion for writing. If you’re proactive, self-motivated and a hard-working team player we want to hear from you.
Minimum Requirements
• Qualification in Media or Communications, such as Journalism, PR and Social Media
• Must be based in Cape Town
Skills & Competencies
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Basics of InDesign
• The ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks
• Quick learner who is self-motivated, responsible, can take direction, work under pressure and operate as part of a team
• Someone with ambition who has a genuine interest in working in the content specialist field
Duties & Responsibilities
• Participating in brainstorming sessions
• Writing, researching magazine/internal comms articles
• Writing for portals
• Writing TV and movie synopses
• Uploading content onto portals
• Updating databases
• Picture editing and resizing
• Writing for social media
