Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s):
 BSc.Eng or B.Eng in Mechanical /Mechatronics/Civil/Chemical /Metallurgical / Industrial Engineering
Experience:
 2 years related Technical experience in Power Generation
Professional Registration Body: Engineering Council of South Africa as a Candidate Engineer

Key Responsibilities
 Facilitate the implementation and management of Risk Based Inspection and Reliability Basis Optimisation methodologies
– Lead multi-discipline teams in the establishment of Inspection and Maintenance regimes for all plant systems
– Review results from Inspection and Maintenance interventions to ensure continuous improvement of the strategies and thus cost-effective management of plant risk within the acceptable boundaries of risk tolerance for the business
 Perform design reviews and equipment failure investigations
– Identify design deficiencies with respect to application, operation and maintenance of equipment as a contributing factor to failures
 Contribute to the integrity of the asset base
– Establish plant risk profiles in order to determine optimal inspection and repair regimes to ensure cost effective maintenance and safe operation of all plant systems within the parameters of the design base and relevant legislative requirements
 Perform technical studies
– Trend and analyse condition monitoring parameters to ensure a pro-active approach to dealing with equipment deterioration
 Consult on discipline related issues
– Provide inputs to design teams to ensure the consideration of all legislative requirements when establishing the technical specifications for plant systems
