Area of Speacialization : To ensure that the Secondary Plant is operated and maintained in a safe and effective manner in order that a continuous quality of supply is sustained or enhanced and that Regional and Organizational objectives are met.

Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s) and Experience
• N6 with 6 years related experience
or
• National Diploma with 3 years related experience

• Knowledge of Eskom’s procedures, policies, directives and CoS
• Knowledge of Eskom’s business and financial procedures

• OHRVS
Key Responsibilities
• Management: Coordinates maintenance activities and plans in respect of Secondary Plant and the execution thereof within planned parameters
• Audits: complete audits on schedule and according to procedure
• Commissioning: Commission plant in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
• Breakdown Maintenance: 24hr standby service available with realistic response times
• Secondary plant performance enhancement/fault investigation: Identifies problem areas relating to plant performance and provide recommendations and feedback thereon
• Administration: Maintain secondary plant database and records and update fault reporting system
• Safe working practice and good housekeeping
• Monitoring and coaching: Provide training as required by the business in respect of staff and formal trainee development
• Emergency preparedness: Carries out emergency work in accordance with emergency procedure in such a way to minimise the effect of the emergency situation
• Safety and Risk Management: Adheres to safety plans and standards to ensure that statutory and group requirements are met
• Financial Management: Performs duties within the constraints of the OPEX and CAPEX budgets
