Job description
WOW Marketing a growing incentive company is looking to appoint a finance manager
Key responsibility areas
- Management accounting, i.e bookkeeping, maintenance of general ledger
- Invoice creation, processing, capturing – Pastel
- Receipt to trial balance processing
- Supplier payments – local and international
- Cash flow reporting
- Assemble information for auditing purposes
- Monthly recons of debtors/creditors
- Petty cash management + recons
- Monitoring budget allocations to monthly management accounts
- Prepare various monthly income statement and balance sheet schedules and reconciliations
- Processing and submitting of VAT, PAYE, provisional tax and dividends withholding tax
- Create and submit IRP5 recons
- Calculate monthly payroll – Pastel Payroll
- Program budgets
- Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
- Payment processing on online banking system
- Supplier statement recons
- Handle ad-hoc issues with suppliers
Key performance indicators
- Accuracy of information
- Timely delivery of management accounts
- Monthly/weekly reporting
- Analysis of actual spend vs budget
- Keeping overall costs aligned with budget
- Saving the company money by lowering expenses
- Annual financials are signed off
- VAT, PAYE and provisional tax are submitted timeously
Requirements
- At least two years’ experience within a finance department
- Degree in finance or accounting
- MS Office: Word, Excel (advanced)
