Eskom’s aim through their bursary programmes is to empower communities, improve lifestyles and raise up a competent workforce by broadening the national skills pool.
*Children of Eskom employees are eligible for the Eskom Scholarship, which has the same qualifying criteria except that your parent/guardian must be employed by Eskom.
How to apply

Service contract
A work-back obligation that is equal to the duration of the studies.
If applicant fails at any point, the bursary will be reviewed. If failure occurs in from the second year onwards, the applicant is required to pay back the bursary.
Qualifying criteria
– Must be a South African citizen
– Must have a National Senior Certificate or the equivalent
– Written proof of acceptance by higher education institution
– Must be studying full-time at an accredited South Africa institution
– Applications must be willing to undergo an interview and/or a medical examination or health declaration.

Allowance details
Residence and accommodation fees amount payable is determined by Eskom. Vacation work costs will be borne by the relevant business units.
