About

The Game-Changers Scholarship is all about finding the next generation of smart, driven people who want to affect the world in a meaningful way. We’re looking for high school leavers, university students and other young people who want to build careers in new-age arenas like engineering (of all kinds), genetics, artificial intelligence, space, renewables and more. The scholarship is available to South African residents looking to study either in SA or abroad, as well as foreigners looking to study in South Africa.
The program offers a small contribution to beneficiaries’ tuition fees, but more than anything it offers unprecedented support in building towards your future. You’ll be part of our network and have access to the best internships and mentors across the world. For the entrepreneurs out there, we will connect you with venture capital backers to fund your ventures, and support you in whatever capacity we can.
During the period of the scholarship, which runs annually, you will be required to attend select events from time to time, and to participate in internship programs we set up for you during holidays. Renewal is solely at our discretion.

Service contract

You are not required to work for us after completing your studies, nor are you required to repay any of the funds we provided you with during your studies. This is a scholarship, meaning we grant you the funds and support because we believe in you affecting change in the world.

Qualifying criteria

Anyone can apply to the scholarship. We give no preference to any demographics. We simply need an indication that you are intelligent – this could be by way of academic achievement, communication ability or otherwise.

We really want you if you know deep down that there’s something different about you – that with the right help you will do amazing things. We want you if you’re confident in your own skin, and down-to-earth at the same time.

Allowance details

We’ll contribute towards your tuition, and depending on how you do, perhaps cover it completely.
