No matter where you are in the CA stream, Grant Thornton offers you more than just an accounting traineeship.
We offer you a dynamic environment, challenging work as well as exposure to a wide range of audit, tax and advisory services. You’ll also benefit from a meaningful training experience, a range of social activities and the opportunity to shape your career – because you are more than just an accounting trainee.
Our culture is far from the ‘grey suit’ stereotype. Grant Thornton has a distinct people-centred culture. This culture is based on our recognition of the individuality, dynamic nature and value of each and every person with whom we interact. This includes you; every member of our team – irrespective of title or job description.
We’re big enough to provide exciting opportunities and small enough to support your personal growth.
We have an open-door policy and we encourage everyone to:

  • voice opinions
  • extend and optimise knowledge and skills
  • share ideas and experiences

Apart from traineeships, we also have limited vacancies for vacation work for CA stream students. And to assist you with some of your university expenses, Grant Thornton offers merit-based bursaries to students studying to become chartered accountants. These are given to a limited number of students with great academic records as well as the personal attributes we’re looking for, and are open to South African citizens only.
