Job description
Capital Media, publishers of Rekord newspapers and Get It magazines, is looking for a layout artist to join our team in Pretoria.
Duties and responsibilities include the design of newspaper pages, special projects and other print products, as well as creative input regarding content.
The successful candidate must be fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
A portfolio of work must accompany the application.
The successful candidate must have at least two years experience in advertising

Publishers of Rekord newspapers and Get It magazine, distributed free of charge in the greater Tshwane district.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in graphic design.
- High level of computer literacy – Indesign, Photoshop, etc.
- Excellent design skills and an eye for detail.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work accurately under pressure.
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
- Good administrative skills and a strong sense of responsibility
- Time management skills
Advantageous
- Social media and online publishing skills
- Photographic skills.
- Experience in Newspaper design an advantage.
Personal Skills/Attributes
- Must be able to work under pressure and possibly work overtime or public holidays depending on deadlines.
