A position for a Harvesting Forester have arisen in the Graskop District. The successful candidate will responsible for the management and coordination of contractors (including management of quality and practices); ensure completion, execution and compliance to the OHP; ensure that all work is conducted according to FSC standards and company policies. He/she will be responsible for the utilization and management of Checker teams, and for the delivery of volume as plan.
Further requirements include:
- Grade 12, a National Diploma or Degree in Forestry
- Candidates should have at least three years relevant experience
- Knowledge of FSC standards and compliance thereto
- Knowledge of fire protection and proven competence as fire fighter
- Organised and structured to ensure all work is completed as quick as possible
- Good interpersonal, communication skills, innovative and sustainable problem solving
- Energetic, optimistic and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive and strong focus on continuous process improvement
- Able and willing to live on plantation as well as to perform fire standby duties
