A well-established and JSE listed group, based near Century City, has an opportunity for a project accountant to join their dynamic team within the finance department. The environment falls within a group of companies which include manufacturing and printing, however, the environment offers a very clean and corporate working environment.
The successful candidate will be reporting to the financial director, with the intention of grooming the project accountant to be a financial manager in the future, based on a high-performance track record and a great attitude.
The candidate’s duties would involve, but not be limited to:
- Projects aimed at enhancing and standardising financial reporting, internal controls framework and management information.
- Costing, analysis and financial management of projects.
- Analysing and presenting business plans regarding acquisitions.
- Supporting the business analysis team with the roll out of new systems, reports and procedures.
- What-if scenarios and Machine rate calculations
- Ad-hoc finance related requests and projects
Skills and experience:
Requirements:
- Completion of articles
- B.Com honours finance degree
- CIMA/CA (SA) qualification (very important)
- Relevant working experience
- Knowledge of tax legislation
