INTRODUCTION

We have a great opportunity at Unitrans JDC in Longmeadow for code 14 drivers that will be driving a vehicle that exceeds 25 000 kg (regid or articulated) to transport goods which may include a trailer, products or materials to and from specified destinations. Performs related administrative tasks. Off-loading of goods at customers

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

• Code 14 Driver’s License
• Valid PRDP
• 5 Years articulated driving experience would be an advantage
• Literacy level – Grade 12, Read and Write
• Experience must have been gained through driving articulated heavy Vehicle

Skills and Knowledge

• Reporting procedure of emergencies and defects
• Maximum vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency
• Driver actions into weather/road/traffic conditions
• Function and Location of vehicle components
• Procedure to release cargo from airlines
• Must be prepared to work weekends and on public holidays
