INTRODUCTION

Unitrans Supply Chain Solutions (PTY) Ltd, has a great opportunity for a Workshop Charge hand at our Pick ‘n Pay Perishables depot. The successful incumbent will be responsible for planning an organizing the workload in the workshop to maximize effective man power utilization and costs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 10 years qualified experience as a Diesel Mechanic
Management related certificate or diploma will be of benefit
Computer literacy is essential with Excel and MS Word.
5 years fuel tanker experience.
5 years Truck maintenance experience on MAN, Mercedes-Benz and Scania.

Job Specification

Ability to manage, supervise and motivate a team of workshop staff.
Ability to manage the fleet service and maintenance programme as per maintenance procedure.
Ability to manage the stores stock with storeman.
Self motivated with problem solving ability.
Attend regular HSE meetings and toolbox talk discussions with workshop staff.
Ability to work adhere to predetermined Standards
Must be able to work under pressure, after hours and shifts.
The abilities to communicate is essential
Deadline orientated and prepared to do adhoc tasks
Being in the possession of a code 14 licence would be an advantage.
