Job description
A full-time career opportunity exists with an activations and media company which operates across the African continent. The candidate must have traceable experience working in an agency or corporate and have managed a portfolio of multi-national brands.
We are looking for a deal maker with strong industry ties, creative and conceptual strategic campaign development skills matched with meticulous presentation abilities.
Oomph! requires an experienced individual who can work internal sales opportunities whilst developing new strategic sales channels both locally and across the continent.
It is necessary that the candidate can blend in with our culture, corporate values and work ethics. Possessing a passion for Africa and love for its people is a must have.
A strong command of the English language both written and spoken matched with a creative, diligent and focused mind.

This job is permanently based at our Honeydew Office, Johannesburg but will operate at our Sandton office from time to time.

Requirements
- Minimum five years’ advertising/marketing/media agency sales experience essential
- Strong business acumen to balance team outputs with client requirements and to manage tight budgets
- Exceptional writing ability
- Strong strategic ability – with a focus on integrated strategies encompassing both traditional and new media (digital and social media) channels
- Ability to translate technical jargon into business speak
- Proven ability in pitching and winning new business
- A proactive self-starter who has great attention to detail
- Strong client credentials
- Proven track record of exceptional client delivery and satisfaction
- Able to meet tight deadlines and work in a pressurised environment
- Leadership
- Non-negotiable: must have strong understanding and experience in experiential marketing/activations having worked with both client direct and agencies
- Must have strong presentation skills
- Ability to work with budgets
