Job description
We are looking for an individual who is independent, well-rounded, can think strategically and can manage outputs. Someone who can work well under pressure and work as part of a team.
You will report directly to the head media strategist on your day to day activities.
The main focus of this job will be to be part of a media intelligence unit whose primary purpose is to create innovative integrated media strategies and plans for a host of blue chip clients. Added to this you will be required to support the business strategically on new business pitches, communication strategy development and general research and insights.
Key performance areas:

  • To develop and manage media/communication strategies to meet marketing objective for clients based on their briefs within the time frame specified.
  • To provide client with feedback within a limited timeframe and from time to time within 48 hours
  • To understand and interpret the marketing and business objectives from the brief received.
  • To conduct, consider and interpret relevant research using media tools available
  • To use communication and propriety tools, look at what competitors are doing and comment on how clients can capitalise on this.
  • To document relevant and obtainable benchmarks (including at least one innovative idea) and give direction for a most suitable communication strategy in support of the identified objectives.
  • To provide ongoing service to client in order to increase (retain) business for the organisation and apply industry best practice.
  • To understand client’s business and objectives through regular contact (email, telephone, and meetings).
  • To keep client abreast of latest research releases within seven days of its release, with relevant commentary to client business.
  • To provide client with relevant media information pertaining to their business such as adspend, competitor activity, media trends, and new media opportunities on an ongoing basis or as requested by client.
