King Cetshwayo District municipality Invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for Internship Programme for 2024/2025 KZN.
The intern will receive a salary of R60 000 pa and the internship is for the duration: of 12 Months.

Applications  are invited from suitably qualified unemployed graduates  from the following internship in King Cetshwayo District municipality

Administration Grad / Intern 

  • Grade 12, National Diploma in Public Administration NQF Level 6
Human Resources Management Grad / Intern 

  • Grade 12, SAMTRAC / Introduction to OHS Act  / Incident investigation Level 3 certificate or relevant NQF Level 5 qualification
Information Technology Grad / Intern 

  • Grade 12, National Diploma in Information Technology or N+ or A+ certificate
Public Relations Grad / Intern 

  • Grade 12, National Diploma in Public Relations or ND in Communication Science and Code EB driver’s licence
Community Grad / Intern 

  • Grade 12, National Diploma in Community or Sports Development NQF Level 6 or relevant tertiary qualification and driver’s licence
Finance Grad / Intern 

  • Grade 12, National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance., Economics, Internal Auditing, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or Public Finance Management and Administration
Technician in Training 

  • Grade 12, National Diploma in Civil Engineering and have completed in-service training and possess a valid Code EB driver’s licence

Applicants must attach their tertiary academic results and an original proof of residence from the respective councillor with the district.
The interns will sign an internship agreement which is in addition to the employment contract. The effect of the agreement is to ensure commitment to the programme which requires, among others full participation in the educational and workforce assignment and observation of policies and procedures.
In terms of the Municipality’s Recruitment and Selection Policy, this internship is open to candidates from the designated group; however preference will be given to candidates as per the Municipality’s Employment Equity Plan
