PROJECT MANAGER (3 YEARS CONTRACT): KZN COLLEGE OF NURSING:
LEVEL 12

Salary Package: R 779 295.00 per annum
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ABOVE POST: •Senior Certificate/Grade 12, PLUS •An appropriate Degree/Diploma in Business Administration/Public Management/Project Management, PLUS •An accredited qualification in Project Management PLUS •At least 2 Years experience as a Project Manager/Team Leader in project co-ordination within project/programme management environment, PLUS •A Computer literacy PLUS •Unendorsed valid Code B driver’s licence (Code 08).
RECOMMENDATIONS: • Advanced computer skills will be an added advantage.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, TRAINING AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:- • The incumbent of this post
will report to the Principal: KZN College of Nursing and will responsible for Provide leadership and oversight for the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the restructuring and amalgamation of KwaZulu-Natal College of Nursing (KZNCN) and its Nursing Education Institutions (NEIs) for the implementation of the New Nursing Qualification. The ideal candidate must;- Possess knowledge of the relevant legislation Acts, Prescripts and Policy Frameworks informing the area of operation.
•Knowledge of and insight into higher education and training practices, policies, qualifications and programmes. •Management of all aspects of the project business plan and budget. •Have extensive skills in planning, executing, monitoring, evaluation and closing projects; •Have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and presentation skills, including proposal and report writing. •Solid stakeholder management skills with relevant role players •Sound conflict resolution, decision making and problem
solving skills. •High level of competence in using Microsoft Office. •Performing quality assurance and risk management.
•Good managerial and interpersonal skills. •Managing project team members. •IT infrastructure, network and integration project delivery. •Time management skills. •Willingness to travel.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:- •Conduct project initiation and planning activities for KZN College of Nursing and its Nursing Education Institutions. •Develop implementation plans to comply with accreditation criteria in consultation with College management and senior officials of the Department of Health. •Facilitate the implementation of approved Project Plans to completion of project. • Manage and monitor the approved project scope, cost planning and implementation plan. •Capacitate and transfer of skills to college management, academic and related staff. •Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in key areas of project management.
