REQUIREMENTS OF THE POST
∙Degree /National Diploma in Nursing that allow registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and midwifery.
∙Diploma in advanced midwifery and neonatal nursing science
∙Post Basic nursing qualification with duration at least one(1) year accredited with SANC in clinical nursing Science, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and care.
∙A Minimum of 9 years appropriate / recognizable experience in nursing after
registration as Professional Nurse with South African Nursing council in General Nursing
∙At least 7 years of the period referred above must be appropriate /
recognizable experience in the specific speciality.
∙At least 3 years of the period referred above must be appropriate / recognizable experience at a managerial level.
∙Proof of current and previous working experience endorsed by Human Resource.
RECOMMENDATION

∙Driver’s License
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, TRAINING AND COMPETENCIES RQUIRED
∙Knowledge of nursing care process and procedures , nursing statistics and other relevant legal framework.
∙Knowledge of SANC rules and regulations.
∙Leadership, Organizational, Decision making and Problem solving abilities within the limit of public sector and institutional policy.
∙Financial and budgetary knowledge pertaining to the relevant resource s under management.
∙Insight into procedures and policies pertaining to nursing care.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
∙Coordination of optimal, holistic specialized nursing care provided within set standards and a professional /legal frame work.
∙Provision of high quality Clinical Services through effective Clinical Governance and Maternal Child and Woman Health Programs.
∙Monitor health indicators, risk factors and plan of action for gaps identified.

∙Monitor report and evaluate implementation of six priority areas and National Core Standards.
∙Develop and maintain nursing environment service environment that promotes the rights of patients, advocating and facilitating proper treatment and care ensuring that the principles of Batho Pele are adhered to.
∙Manage effectively the utilization and supervision of resources.
∙Coordination of the provision of effective training and research.
∙Provision of effective support to Nursing Services.
∙Maintain professional growth /ethical standards and self-development.
Work effectively and amicable at management level with persons of diverse intellectual, cultural Racial or religious difference.
