Labour Relations Specialist (2 Posts)

Educational requirements and experience:

• An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) as recognized by SAQA • A qualification in Labour Relations/Labour Law/Human Resources Management will be preferred • Extensive work knowledge of the Constitution and legislation applicable to Local Government • A valid driver’s licence • 4 years’ relevant professional experience in a labour relations environment.

Job description:

The successful candidate will ensure that all misconducts and grievances are handled, will represent the City in labour dispute resolution forums and will conduct advocacy sessions to promote fair and sound labour relations in the City. He/she will assist with negotiations with recognised employee representatives and with the interpretation and application of various collective agreements, policies and labour statutes.
