LECTURER: COMMUNICATION (GRAPHIC) DESIGN AT UNIVERSITY OF JOHANNESBURG (UJ)

Responsibilities:

• Teaching and assessment in Communication Design (Graphic Design) and Communication Design Technology (Adobe design software and related software)
• Studying towards a postgraduate degree (MA or PhD) or conducting textual or practice-led research
• Maintain links with industry
• Work with the team of colleagues to develop the Communication Design programme
• Participate in the activities of the Graphic Design Department and perform administrative duties as required

Minimum Requirements:

• A BTech or Honours degree in a relevant discipline such as Graphic Design or Visual Communication Design or Information Design
• A strong portfolio of recent graphic design work
• Experience of working in the Graphic Design industry and / or experience of teaching and assessment in Higher Education
• Registered or in the process of registering for an MA or PhD
